Lakeway City Park

The Lakeway City Park is a park of 64 hectares in the city of Lakeway, Texas. Free for Lakeway residents and open for a small fee for non-residents, the park has something for almost everyone.

The original park with an actual field and play equipment in Lakeway is Dragon Park I used to have my children in the early 1990 years. However, Dragon Park was small and Lakeway was growing. So the city decided to develop a larger park on Lake Travis.

There are two parts of the city LakewayPark on the outskirts of Hurst Creek Road, is a large parking lot, a covered pavilion with picnic tables, grills, toilets and a playground for small children. The park has attracted a network of trails for runners, cyclists, hikers and walkers. Some of the trail is paved and a bit 'primitive. The paths you take from the top to the bottom of the park, or you can drive down.

On the way to the bottom of the park you will see a fenced dog parkleft and a basketball court on the right. At the lower end of the park is on Lake Travis at Hurst Harbor Marina, is more cars. It 's a beautiful area with huge oak trees, with shaded picnic tables and grills. Right behind that is a volleyball court and a sandy beach.
